FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

When is it?

Our big weekend-long Skillshares are held annually in the fall (usually in October). But as of December 2010, we’ve been holding sporadic jump-off classes called Mini Skills at Crown Heights free space LaunchPad. And as of August 2011, we are curating Skillshare Nights the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Tea Lounge in Park Slope. All classes are taught by every day folks in the community!

How can I teach a class?

Have an idea or a skill you want to share? Email us at brooklynskillshare [at] gmail [dot] com and we’ll help you work it out!

How much does it cost?

Not a thing! The Skillshare is FREE to the public (unless otherwise noted).

How can I help?

Here are some examples things that volunteers can do:

  • Tell your friends and family about Brooklyn Skillshare
  • Submit an idea for a class (it can be about anything!)
  • Tweet about us
  • Friend us on Facebook
  • Photograph classes and tag them “Brooklyn Skillshare” on Flickr
